The jewel in the crown of the 73rd Members’ Meeting was the Graham Hill Trophy. Billed as the final session of Saturday - a 60min race into dusk, with driver changes - the GHT evoked endurance racing of the mid-sixties. Unfortunately a big accident (involving a £4m Mercedes SLS, and a Lister Jaguar valued at ‘only’ £1m, both drivers unharmed) in the previous session meant the race was cut down to 30mins and it was almost dark by the time it started. It was a great spectacle regardless, the eventual winners were Shaun Lynn and ex-F1 pilot Emanuele Pirro in a ‘63 Cobra, seen celebrating in the final shot as Lynn crossed the line to take the win.
Fuckin great photos.
